Israeli army entered Al-Shifa hospital

(Patria) - According to reports from agencies and media, the Israeli army entered the complex of Al-Shifa hospital, the largest in Gaza, after midnight, which has recently come into the focus of the international public due to difficult working conditions and accusations that Hamas members are hiding underneath.

Witnesses report that Israeli armored vehicles and hundreds of commandos are within the hospital grounds.
Earlier, the Israeli army (IDF) confirmed that it was conducting "precise and targeted operations against Hamas in a specific area within Al-Shifa hospital, based on intelligence information," the BBC reported.

In a post on X, the IDF added that it had "repeatedly warned publicly that Hamas's continued military use of Al-Shifa hospital endangers its protected status under international law and provided ample time to stop this illegal abuse of hospitals".

Al-Shifa is the largest hospital in Gaza, and both Israel and the United States claim that Hamas has a command base beneath it, which Hamas denies.
