(Patria) - The Israeli army (IDF) has announced that it has prepared a coordinated offensive on the Gaza Strip, involving air, ground and naval forces.
The statement says the IDF is ready to expand the offensive by carrying out a wide range of offensive operational plans.
The IDF states that it is finalizing the recruitment of hundreds of thousands of reservists, while the Logistics Directorate is working to provide troops with all the equipment necessary for a ground offensive, reports the Times of Israel.
On Friday, Israel ordered nearly half of the Gaza Strip's population to evacuate from the north to the south ahead of an expected ground offensive in response to the attack by Hamas forces.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken yesterday called for the protection of civilians in the Gaza Strip and Israel, after the Israeli army ordered the evacuation.
