(Patria) - The Israeli army issued an urgent evacuation order on Monday morning for Palestinian residents and displaced persons in several areas of eastern Rafah, calling on them to immediately move to the town of al-Mawasi.
"The Israeli army is expanding the humanitarian zone in Al-Mawasi and calls on Palestinians to temporarily evacuate from the eastern neighborhoods of Rafah to the expanded humanitarian zone," wrote army spokesman Avichay Adraee on platform X.
He added that "the expansion of the humanitarian zone in Al-Mawasi includes field hospitals, tents, large quantities of food, water, medicine and other supplies."
"The army also allows cooperation with certain international organizations and other countries to expand the scope of humanitarian aid delivered to the Gaza Strip," the spokesman said, adding that "this process will take place gradually based on ongoing assessments of the situation."
"In this context, leaflets will be distributed, text messages and phone calls will be sent, and information will be broadcast via Arab media," Adraee said.
"The army will continue to work to achieve the goals of the war, including dismantling Hamas and returning all Israeli hostages," he added.
The Israeli army also published maps on social media illustrating evacuation routes.
