Israeli army says it intercepted most Iranian missiles, tells citizens they can move away from shelters

(Patria) - The Israeli army (IDF) stated in a press release that it intercepted the "vast majority" of dozens of Iranian
ballistic missiles fired at Israel, The Times of Israel reported.

The rockets were shot down by the Arrow air defense system before they managed to enter Israeli airspace, the IDF stated.

"Several impacts were identified, including at a military base in the south of the country, with minor damage to infrastructure," the statement said.

Many dozens of drones and cruise missiles launched from Iran were also shot down by fighter jets, the Israeli army said.

"Dozens of air force aircraft continue at this hour to intercept all aerial threats penetrating towards the territory of the State of Israel," the IDF added.

The command meanwhile says that Israelis no longer need to stay close to shelters, indicating that Iran's attack is over for now.
