Israel fiercely shelled Beirut

(Patria) - Israeli and Lebanese media reported several explosions in the southern part of Beirut.

Media state that it is most likely an Israeli attack on the capital of Lebanon.

According to initial information, Israeli air forces shelled several parts of southern Beirut.

Material damage to several facilities has been reported so far.

The Israeli army confirmed the airstrike on the southern suburb of Beirut, stating that it targeted a Hezbollah commander responsible for the attack on Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights.

Let us remind you, Israeli forces have been announcing for several days that they will carry out a series of strikes on Hezbollah positions, especially after the attack on the Golan Heights for which Tel Aviv accused Hezbollah, and in which twelve children were killed on a football field.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously announced that the Lebanese group "will pay a high price" after the deadly attack on the football field.
