SARAJEVO, (Patria) - According to world media reports, Israeli authorities have demolished historic stairs leading to the Old City of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The head of the Commission for the Protection of Muslim Cemeteries, Mustafa Abu Zehra, said that occupation forces' municipal teams entered the Bab el-Esbat area with a bulldozer and demolished the stairs to the martyrs' cemetery.
The Palestinian side accuses Israel of attempting to establish a project called "The Gardens of the Torah" on the martyrs' cemetery, which covers 4,000 square meters.
Palestinians have been called upon to unite and stand in defense of the buildings against "occupier violence".
