Israel remembers international law: Demands UN Security Council session and condemnation of Iran

(Patria) - Israel has requested an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council, accusing Iran of violating international law.

In an address to the Security Council, Ambassador Gilad Erdan, Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations, stated that Iran today launched a direct attack from its territory using more than 200 drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles towards Israel, which constitutes a clear violation of the UN Charter and international law.

Erdan considers this a dangerous escalation.

The Israeli ambassador also states that Iran is arming Hezbollah and violating UN Security Council Resolution.


In the request for a session, he demands that Iran be condemned "for violating international law".
