Israel: We agree to ceasefire, thanks to President Trump

(Patria) - The Israeli government announced that it has agreed to a ceasefire proposal by US President Donald Trump. The statement also says that Israel will "respond decisively to any violation of the ceasefire."

They are agreeing to the ceasefire, as they state, because "key objectives of the operation against Iran have been achieved".

Israeli authorities state that they have removed "the double immediate existential threat from Iran, the one related to nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles".

Israel also claims to have inflicted "heavy losses on the Iranian military leadership" and that "dozens of key Iranian government targets" were destroyed in the attacks.

According to the same statement, Israeli forces "heavily hit government targets in the center of Tehran, eliminated hundreds of Basij members, a militia used by Iranian authorities to suppress protests, and neutralized another high-ranking Iranian nuclear scientist" on the last day of operations.

"The State of Israel thanks President Trump and the United States of America for their support in defending and participating in the elimination of the Iranian nuclear threat," the statement concludes.
