Israel receives remains of three more hostages

(Patria) - Israel has received three more coffins with the remains of hostages who died in captivity in the Gaza Strip, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced, TASS reported.

"Israel, through the Red Cross, received coffins with the remains of three deceased hostages, which were handed over to the IDF and ISA forces within the Gaza Strip. From there, they will be transferred to Israel," it is stated.

"Efforts to return our hostages are ongoing and will not stop until the last hostage is returned."

On October 6, Israel and Hamas resumed indirect negotiations on resolving the situation in the Gaza Strip, mediated by Egypt, Qatar, the United States, and Turkey, and on October 9, the parties to the conflict signed an agreement on the implementation of the first phase of the ceasefire plan in Gaza by US President Donald Trump. The ceasefire came into effect on October 10.

On October 13, Hamas and other Palestinian groups released all twenty living hostages and handed over the bodies of four deceased hostages in accordance with the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. The Israeli side expressed outrage that Hamas returned only four of the 28 bodies of deceased hostages. Later, Hamas handed over several more bodies to Israel.
