(Patria) - Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen condemned the UN General Assembly resolution calling for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
He stated that Israel is determined to eliminate the radical Palestinian group Hamas, the TASS news agency reported.
- We reject the UN General Assembly's call for a ceasefire. Israel intends to eliminate Hamas just as the world dealt with the Nazis and ISIS - Cohen said.
The UN General Assembly adopted the said resolution with an overwhelming majority in the vote.
