(Patria) - At least three people were killed in an Israeli attack in Beirut on Monday shortly after midnight.
This is the first attack in an area outside southern Beirut, a Lebanese security source said.
An Israeli drone targeted an apartment belonging to two members of the Lebanese terrorist group al-Jama‘a al-Islamiyya (Islamic Group), the same source said.

Al-Jama‘a al-Islamiyya, like Hamas, is a Sunni faction that is part of the broader political network of the Muslim Brotherhood.
The Israeli attack hit the upper floor of a residential building in the Cola district of Beirut, Reuters reported.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) commented on the attack, stating that three of its leaders were killed in the Israeli attack on the Cola district of Beirut.
The strike near the Cola bridge is the first time a location within the borders of Lebanon's capital has been hit in the current war.
The armed group said that Mohammed Abed Al-Al, a member of its political bureau and head of the military-security department, Imad Odeh, a member of its military department and military command in Lebanon, and Abdul Rahman Abed Al-Al were killed.
