(Patria) - Israeli forces attacked a radar located north of Tehran, but then suspended further attacks after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with US President Donald Trump.
According to a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister, Iran fired one missile at Israel at 07:06 local time (05:06 BST), and then two more missiles at 10:25, after the ceasefire was supposed to take effect.
Israel's attack on Iran followed hours after the start of the ceasefire, in response to alleged Iranian attacks on Israeli territory. Netanyahu's office stated that Trump "expressed great gratitude to Israel" and that Netanyahu pledged to refrain from further strikes.
A White House source told CNN that Trump spoke with Netanyahu on Tuesday morning, during which he was "extremely firm and direct".
Iran's state news agency Fars reported that their correspondent in the city of Babolsar, north of Tehran, heard explosions several hours after the ceasefire took effect.
