Israel announces 'next phase' in war with Iran, promises 'more surprises'

(Patria) - The head of the Israeli army stated on Thursday that the US-Israeli attack on Iran is entering its next phase, with operations aimed at further destroying Tehran's military capabilities.

"We are now moving to the next phase of the operation. In this phase, we will further destroy the regime and its military capabilities. There are more surprises ahead that I do not intend to reveal," said Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir in a televised statement, Al Arabiya reported.

Zamir said that more than 60 percent of Iran's ballistic missile launchers and 80 percent of its air defense systems have been destroyed in the ongoing attack on Iran.

"We have neutralized and destroyed more than 60 percent of the ballistic missile launchers," he said.

Zamir added that Israel has also destroyed 80 percent of Iran's air defense systems and has "achieved almost complete air superiority in Iranian skies."
