(Patria) -The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out at least seventeen strikes on the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital Beirut, Al Jazeera reported, as cited by TASS.
According to the report, the southern suburbs of the city were attacked by fighter jets and drones. Lebanese broadcaster LBCI reported that the Israelis carried out six direct strikes and ten warning strikes, while one remaining projectile did not detonate.
Earlier that day, the IDF stated that their strikes were targeting locations of Hezbollah's Air Unit (127) in Dahieh, the southern suburb of Beirut.
Since the end of April, Israel has not targeted Beirut, limiting military operations to the southern regions of Lebanon.
