Israel did not cancel the attack after all: Explosions in Tehran

(Patria) - Donald Trump called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and asked him not to attack Iran, Axios journalist said in a post on X, citing an Israeli official.

Netanyahu reportedly told Trump that he could not cancel the attack and that it was necessary because Iran had violated the ceasefire, the Axios journalist said.

The attack would have been significantly reduced and would not have hit a large number of targets, but only one target, according to the report.

Iranian portal Mizan and newspaper Shargh report that two explosions were heard in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

After that, Israeli pilots withdrew.

Trump expressed dissatisfaction with both sides today, and specifically warned Israel not to attack Iran and to withdraw the pilots.

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a press release confirming that Israel attacked a radar system near Tehran in response to "Iranian violations" of the ceasefire, BBC reports.

It is stated that Iran fired one missile at Israel at 07:06 local time (06:06 our time) and two more at 10:25, after the ceasefire came into effect.

The office also points out that Israel "refrained from further attacks" after the Israeli Prime Minister spoke with US President Donald Trump.
