Israel bombed a gathering place for journalists in Gaza: 33 civilians killed, 50 wounded

(Patria) - Medical sources reported that Israeli warplanes hit the al-Baqa resting place on the coast of Gaza, resulting in the death of at least 33 people and the injury of nearly 50 others.

Among the dead was journalist Ismail Abu Hatab, whose death brings the number of journalists killed since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza 21 months ago to 227.

Journalist Bayan Abu Sultan was also injured in the attack, although the nature and severity of her injuries remain unclear.

Gaza journalist Belal Khaled shared images on social media of Abu Sultan with blood splattered on her face and torso.

According to Al Jazeera, at least 80 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza since dawn on Monday.

The number includes 57 Palestinians in northern Gaza and 15 aid seekers near aid distribution centers in the southern part of Gaza, Rafah.

Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have been carrying out a relentless genocide in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 56,531 civilians, the majority of whom are women and children. At least 133,642 others have also been injured.
