Exhibition “Sarajevo birvaktile” at the City Hall

The Museum of Sarajevo, in cooperation with the City Administration of Sarajevo, is organizing the exhibition “Sarajevo birvaktile” at the Sarajevo City Hall. The official opening is on Monday, April 20, at 7 PM, reports the Patria News Agency.

The exhibition was first displayed in 2008 at the Collegium Artisticum City Gallery and attracted significant public attention.

It features renowned artists from the late 19th and the first half of the 20th century who painted motifs of Sarajevo. It is sufficient to mention names such as Gabrijel Jurkić, Špiro Bocarić, Karlo Mijić, Ismet Mujezinović, Petar Tiješić, Vojo Hadžidamjanović, Danijel Kabiljo, Roman Petrović, Petar Šain, Đoko Mazalić, and others.

Given that these are top-tier works, which are not usually exhibited to the public, this is a gift to our fellow citizens and guests on the occasion of the City's birthday and the Museum's jubilee.

For this occasion only, the exhibition will be held in the ceremonial hall of the City Hall, thus promoting the City Hall premises as well. The exhibition will remain open for 15 days, according to the City Administration.
