Exhibition on War and Peace in the Balkans open until July 20

The exhibition "War & Peace in the Balkans" is set up in the premises of the Gazi Husrev-beg Hanikah, and it features photographs on the impact of World War I on the population, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

The retreat of the Serbian army across the mountains of Albania, children who were victims of war, are just some of what five photographers captured in photographs during the period from 1914 to 1918. Lewis Hine, Ariel Varges, Sampson Cherkoff, as well as two anonymous photographers documented the war and daily life in the Balkans during World War I.

World War I in the Balkans passed through cities and villages, transforming every aspect of human life in the process. In addition to photographs, the exhibition is accompanied by several documentary films that talk about the period from 1914 to 1918.

A screening of the documentary film "War & Peace in the Balkans" will be held on July 8 at the Meeting Point cinema starting at 7:00 PM.

The exhibition will last until July 20, and admission to the exhibition is free.
