Exhibition "I will tell you a story" at the National Museum of BiH

In the premises of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, on Wednesday, May 4, at 6 PM, the guest exhibition "I will tell you a story", by author Timka Alihodžić, curator of the Ancient Department of the Archaeological Museum in Zadar, will be opened, reports the Patria News Agency.

The exhibition will be opened by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, Zlatko Hasanbegović, while the ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ivan Del Vechio, and the director of the Archaeological Museum Zadar, Jakov Vučić, will attend the ceremonial opening.

This exhibition, through seven panels and exhibited archaeological material from the National Museum of BiH and copies of original objects, tells stories about burial customs, possible occupations, habits, and the social status of people who lived in ancient Jader (present-day Zadar).

Based on the results of anthropological analysis, burial rites, and the analysis of grave goods, stories about each grave have been woven with interesting titles such as: "Who was the person buried in grave 11?", "One grave, four names, five stories", "Who brought syphilis to Zadar, Columbus certainly didn't?", "The Lady from Relja", and "Omnia mea mecum porto".

The exhibition is accompanied by a 48-page catalog, with texts in Croatian and English, and color illustrations. Part of the text from the catalog has been edited and adapted for all ages and, using the services of a narrator, an audio catalog has also been recorded.

An interesting fact is that this exhibition fulfills all conditions to be presented to visually impaired persons, as the exhibition features a significant display case with copies of objects that will be available for tactile exploration, with legends in Braille and an audio catalog. The exhibition will be on display until June 4, according to the National Museum of BiH.
