That art, culture, and creativity are undeniable links between people is shown by the exhibition of graphics "Imprints of Multi-original BiH" which will be officially opened on Monday, January 18, at 7:00 PM in the gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, writes the Patria News Agency.
The works were created at the graphic workshop of the same name, held in Bosanska Krupa in June last year as part of USAID's PRO-Budućnost project, which brought together students from art academies from Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar, Široki Brijeg, Trebinje, and the Faculty of Education of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar.
At the opening of the exhibition, speeches will be given by Prof. Dr. Nerzuk Ćurak, Ahmed Burić and Mr. Danis Fejzić, Dean of the Academy of Fine Arts Sarajevo Prof. Mr. Marina Finci, and Majda Behrem-Stojanov, PRO-Budućnost Project Director.
One of the exhibition promoters, Bosnian-Herzegovinian writer and journalist Ahmed Burić, stated in the preface to the exhibition catalog that "these imprints of a multi-original BiH confirm that we are working with living things, not dead concepts, which we are all a bit tired of.".
The graphic workshops and exhibitions "Imprints of Multi-original Bosnia and Herzegovina" through engaged artistic expression educate, enable the exchange of experiences, promote original Bosnian-Herzegovinian graphic art, emphasize the authentic values of Bosnia and Herzegovina – its people and regions, and generally create space for young people from different ethnic groups and backgrounds to meet and connect.
The exhibition will be open until January 25, 2016.
