
A photo exhibition by author Dženat Dreković will be opened at the Public Library in Zenica on April 7, reports the Patria agency.
Dreković was born in 1979 in Macedonia, graduated in photography from the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade, and completed the World Press Photo Masterclass in Berlin. He is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo.
He gained work experience as a photojournalist for daily newspapers and weekly magazines, and as an assistant for the subjects of Media Photography and Applied Photography at the Faculty of Technical Studies (FTS) Travnik and Kiseljak. He worked as an official photographer on the films “On the Path” and “Participation” directed by Jasmila Žbanić.
Special recent projects include work on the cycles “People from the Margins” and “Symhedonia” in cooperation with the Institute for the Care of Mentally Disabled Children and Youth Pazarić.
He is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Applied Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ULUPUBIH), and co-founder and collaborator of CFFM (Center for Photography, Film and Multimedia Sarajevo). He has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in the region and worldwide.
Dreković lives in Sarajevo and works as a freelance photographer, writes NAP.
