Exhibition by Dado Ruvić on Srebrenica at the European Parliament in Brussels

BRUSSELS, (Patria) - The photo exhibition "Srebrenica 2009 - 2017" by Zenica-born Dado Ruvić, a Reuters photojournalist, will be held at the European Parliament building in Brussels on Tuesday, June 19.

The exhibition has previously been shown in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Turkey. As part of the exhibition at the European Parliament, a discussion will also be held to mark the 23rd anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide.

"It is very important that such terrible things never happen again. And never be forgotten. The exhibition has had and will continue to have its journey for a long time," Ruvić told the Patria agency.

"The photos on display have been on thousands of covers, spreads, web portals, and televisions of almost all major world media. From my first photo in 2009 until today," said Ruvić, adding that the exhibition does not, has not, and must not have a commercial character.

"The exhibition in Brussels is being held at the invitation of the European Parliament," he added.

Dado Ruvić is a twenty-eight-year-old photojournalist for the world's largest news agency, Reuters. His works are published daily in the world's largest newspapers and magazines such as: New York Times, TIME, Le Monde, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, National Geographic, Guardian, Irish Times, National Post, Spiegel, Stern, China Daily, International Business Times. He covers Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Southeast Europe, with his camera. He has been involved in photography for 12 years and has several international awards and recognitions to his name.
