Apartment in Čengić Vila that was supposed to be seized by the bank this morning burned down?

A strong explosion occurred in an apartment in Čengić Vila, and five fire trucks are on the scene, confirmed for the Patria agency from the Sarajevo Professional Fire Brigade.

As Patria's reporter reports from the scene, firefighters have already entered the apartment and are extinguishing the fire. The horrific explosion alarmed residents and passersby. Fortunately, there were no injuries, and as we learn, the owner of the apartment is a taxi driver who lives alone. Unofficially, we learn that the apartment was supposed to be seized by the bank this morning.

The building's residents were evacuated due to a large amount of smoke. The Mayor of Novo Sarajevo Municipality, Nedžad Koldžo, also arrived at the scene.

The building where the explosion occurred is located next to the playground of the "Čengić Vila 1" Elementary School, and the area around the building is cordoned off with yellow tape.
