Izetbegović sends condolences to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani

Chairman of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegović sent a telegram of condolences to the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani, after more than 60 people were killed and over 200 injured in suicide attacks in Kabul today.

The attack occurred during a protest by the minority Hazara people, writes Patria.

- The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina strongly condemns this vile and senseless act of killing innocent people. We are closely following the events in your country, as our Armed Forces are also contributing to the fight for the establishment of peace and security in Afghanistan through the ISAF mission - said Izetbegović, as announced by the BiH Presidency.

- We were deeply shaken by the news of the brutal attack by terrorists - suicide bombers on Kabul during a protest by the minority Hazara people, with dozens killed and hundreds injured.

We remain firmly committed to supporting you and your Government in the fight against all forms of terrorism, and in the aspirations for the establishment of peace and security.

On behalf of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and on my own behalf, I extend my sincere condolences to you.
Please, Your Excellency, convey our sincere condolences to the families of the victims, and wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured. Our thoughts and prayers are with them - it is stated at the end of Izetbegović's letter, reports Patria.
