Izetbegović with Ban Ki-moon: BiH progressing on the path to the European Union and NATO

Chairman of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegović met in New York with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

At the beginning of the meeting, the UN Secretary-General congratulated Chairman Izetbegović on the progress BiH has made on the path to the European Union. He expressed satisfaction with the efforts BiH is investing in reform processes.

Chairman of the BiH Presidency Izetbegović pointed out that BiH is progressing on the path to the European Union and NATO. He thanked the Secretary-General for his engagement, as well as the engagement of UN agencies in BiH.

Discussions also covered projects within the specialized United Nations agencies, including the activities of the Peacebuilding Fund. Chairman of the BiH Presidency Izetbegović particularly emphasized the importance of the project "Dialogue for the Future – Promotion of Coexistence and Diversity in Bosnia and Herzegovina".
