Izetbegović dismissed as director of the General Hospital, is there also a case for the BiH Prosecutor's Office?

Sebija Izetbegović, the newly elected director of UKCS, was yesterday dismissed from the position of director of this health institution by the decision of the Management Board of the General Hospital "Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš" at her own request, the Press Service announced.

Sead Bašić, a specialist in orthopedics, has been appointed acting director of the General Hospital, Patria reports.

Several sources have confirmed to Patria that the BiH Prosecutor's Office is also involved in the entire case.

The latest developments regarding Izetbegović's appointment to the head of UKCS have also drawn a reaction from the Health Union of the Sarajevo Canton, which has called on the labor inspectorate to determine the validity of the documents that employees of the General Hospital received to sign regarding their transfer to UKCS, N1 reports.

- We need to see who is behind that document, and then we will go to the Prosecutor's Office to investigate who is behind it - believes Edo Selimić from the Health Union of the Sarajevo Canton.

As Patria reported, the "request for voluntary transfer" from the General Hospital to UKCS was already prepared on January 6, so that they could start work on January 11, by order of the former double director Izetbegović.

From the UKCS Union, they told N1 that they have no space to relocate the operating rooms from the General Hospital. Whoever is behind these actions has not explained what will happen to the medical equipment, into which almost 10 million marks were invested last year alone, because some of the installed devices cannot be moved to the UKCS premises.

- We don't know what to do with that equipment - reveals Suad Rožajac from the UKCS Union.

Izetbegović was elected head of UKCS on January 6 by a decision of the temporary Management Board of UKCS, which, as we previously wrote, was composed of her associates and close friends. Izetbegović was the only candidate for that position. The SDA confirmed that the Government of the Federation of BiH will move into the General Hospital building.

Interestingly, in the entire case, the appointment of Izetbegović has not yet been signed by the Minister of Health of the Federation of BiH, Vjekoslav Mandić, but according to the current development of the situation, this is merely a formality.
