Izetbegović at US President Donald Trump's Reception

NEW YORK, (Patria) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegović attended a reception in New York organized by US President Donald Trump.

The American president's reception for heads of state and government is traditionally organized on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, and Izetbegović was photographed with the hosts of the reception, Donald and Melania Trump.

Chairman Izetbegović participated in the work of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly today. In his address, he stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina remains strongly committed to preserving and strengthening this organization, its values and principles, its mandate and mission, its unity, credibility, and relevance.

- To this end and for this purpose, we welcome and support the reform of this organization, so that the voices of all its member states become equally represented and respected in its work and actions. We must always remind ourselves of the fundamental values and principles contained in the Charter of the United Nations, which embody the core of the international order. These principles and values are just as relevant today as they were in 1945. The primary responsibility of this organization and all its member states is the support and protection of these values and principles from modern challenges that deeply question them - said Izetbegović.
