Izetbegović: Coalition with SBB will survive despite provocations

Bakir Izetbegović, SDA president, on the eve of the party's Collegium session, told reporters that he had a meeting with Fahrudin Radončić, SBB leader, where they discussed the new situation in which two individuals from SBB were arrested on suspicion of obstructing the investigation in the case against Naser Keljmendi in Kosovo, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Izetbegović confirmed to reporters that the SDA and SBB coalition will survive in order to solve the accumulated problems in BiH.

- No one is guilty until proven otherwise, and we will see what the investigative bodies determine. But as far as I know, Bakir Dautbašić is a candidate for the Minister of Transport and Communications - Izetbegović stated.

He added that despite some provocations, Radončić remains in the coalition with SDA, and when asked who these provocations were coming from, Izetbegović said:

- I wouldn't speculate on names, but there are many who do not want Bosniak unity and many who opposed it and said that the unification of strong Bosniak leaders is not good. Mr. Radončić is firm that regardless of what happens, perhaps even intentional provocations, he and SBB will remain in the coalition because it transcends the interests of the coalition parties and transcends everything else. And I think the same. I believe this coalition will last - Izetbegović said.

SBB issued a public statement stating that the SBB president proposed Dautbašić to the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdić, today as the sole candidate of SBB for the Minister of Transport and Communications of BiH.

- As a responsible politician, I can tell the citizens that I have confidence in the judiciary and that I will continue to implement the coalition with SDA. SDA is a large party that received more votes than its president. SBB is a powerful party and we are continuing our coalition independently of the personal relationship between Bakir Izetbegović and me - the SBB leader conveyed.
