Funds allocated for the procurement of devices for KCUS, General Hospital, and Health Center in Goražde

(Patria) - The Ministry of Health of Sarajevo Canton has allocated 268,000 KM through this year's budget for the procurement of medical devices for the University Clinical Center Sarajevo, the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš", and the Health Center in Goražde.

Through Government decisions from today's session, these funds have been operationalized.

At the request of the Clinical Center, the procurement of six CTG devices for the needs of the gynecology and obstetrics department of that hospital will be financed. 100,000 KM will be allocated from the budget for this purpose.

As explained, CTG or cardiotocography is the most commonly used method for monitoring the condition of the baby before and during birth, which is why these devices are of great importance for monitoring the condition of fetuses and newborns, as well as for the sensitive population of pregnant women.

A decision was also made to procure an ultrasound device for the needs of the Public Institution General Hospital "Prim. dr Abdulah Nakaš", Department of Urology, for which 84,000 KM will be allocated.

This is a modern ultrasound device that will replace the existing, outdated analog devices, with the aim of providing higher quality healthcare services to patients. The new ultrasound device with Doppler, transrectal probe, and working channels for probes will be used in prostate biopsies and percutaneous access to the kidney for interventional urological radiological procedures.

The Government today also gave its consent for the Minister of Health of Sarajevo Canton to sign the Agreement on financing the procurement of an ultrasound device, worth 84,000 KM, for the needs of the Public Institution Health Center "dr Isak Samokovlija" Goražde.

Based on the request of this health center, and in accordance with the Protocol on Cooperation between the Government of Sarajevo Canton and the Government of Bosansko-podrinjski Canton Goražde, consent was given for financing the procurement of an ultrasound device for the needs of this healthcare institution and its patients.
