Fire Hazard Warning Issued

The Civil Protection Service of Centar Municipality warns that due to the upcoming high air temperatures, the risk of fires, especially in open spaces like gardens and picnic areas, has increased, reports the BH News Agency Patria (NAP).

The Civil Protection reminds citizens that it is forbidden to light fires near forests and other vegetation and that they are obliged to take all precautions to prevent fires, and thus endanger human lives and property.

Employees of the Civil Protection Service have recently posted warning flyers about the fire hazard on the outskirts of the central Sarajevo municipality, especially in the popular picnic areas of Skakavac, Mala kula, and Barice.

The mentioned service calls on citizens to report any fire occurrence, after actively participating in extinguishing it, immediately by calling: 121 – INFORMATION AND ALARM CENTER, 122 – POLICE, or 123 – FIREFIGHTERS.
