Camp in Brežice is burning, Sky News reports. The camp is overcrowded, and refugees are shouting "Open, open". They keep warm by lighting fires, which frequently cause blazes. The camp is full of military and police, the news agency Patria reports.
Most of the tents set up in the camp have burned in the fire. Although the fire at one point spread to nearby bushes, firefighters managed to stop it and the fire has been extinguished for now. The Red Cross is tending to the injured.
According to media reports, refugees are allegedly setting tents on fire one by one. Slovenian police reported that firefighting is underway, Index writes.
