Russian President's Envoy Speaks About EU Countries Most Affected by Oil Shock

(Patria) - Kirill Dmitriev, special envoy of the Russian President for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), named five European Union countries he believes are particularly affected by the current energy shock in the Persian Gulf, TASS reported.

According to him, Italy is heavily dependent on gas hubs, Germany relies on imports and has high energy demand, Poland is vulnerable due to its efforts to transition from coal to gas, Belgium faces risks as a transit hub, and Romania depends on regional supply.

The Russian envoy also mentioned the United Kingdom, which, in his opinion, is affected by energy shocks due to declining North Sea production and dependence on energy imports.

Earlier, Dmitriev said that "a tsunami of oil and gas prices will soon destroy Europe."
