(Patria) - The Christian Association of Nigeria announced today that verification confirmed 315 students and teachers were abducted from a Catholic school yesterday, after an earlier report stated 227.
"This now makes it 303 students and 12 teachers, bringing the total number of abducted persons to 315", the statement reads.
The security situation in Nigeria has been under increased scrutiny since US President Donald Trump threatened military action in the West African country over its treatment of Christians.
The Nigerian government says Trump's claims that Christians face persecution in Nigeria misrepresent the country's complex security challenges.
