Body of a female person recovered from Miljacka canyon, autopsy to be performed

(Patria) - The body of a female person was recovered from the Miljacka riverbed last night. 40 rescuers from GSS KS and GSS Istočni Stari Grad stations participated in the recovery operation.

- The GSS KS water search team found the lifeless body of a female person at 8:40 PM last night in an extremely inaccessible, completely overgrown, and steep terrain, 150 meters into the canyon.

GSS KS informed the competent authorities about this, and upon the instructions of the duty prosecutor, the GSS KS technical rescue team, along with colleagues from GSS Istočni Stari Grad, proceeded to recover the body from the Miljacka river canyon - stated GSS.

According to them, the body was recovered at 00:10 AM and handed over to the competent services for further proceedings.

According to available information, it is Arijana Ljuca, a judge of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo, who has been missing since May 6th.

An autopsy will be performed today to formally confirm the identity and to determine the cause of death.
