The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina will, in accordance with Article 5.29 of the Election Law of BiH, publish preliminary results of the Local Elections held in BiH on 02.10.2016 in the coming days, the CEC BiH announced, writes the Patria News Agency.
The determined election results will follow only after the results from regular polling stations, absentee voting polling stations, results of voting from abroad, via mobile teams, and the results of voting on unconfirmed ballots are consolidated.
Only after the Central Election Commission of BiH publishes the determined election results, may the entities listed in Article 5.30, paragraph (1) of the Election Law of BiH submit a request for a recount within three days, exclusively under the conditions and in the manner prescribed by that article. The Central Election Commission of BiH is currently publishing preliminary results, and therefore it is premature to submit requests for a recount.
In accordance with Article 16.9 of the Election Law of BiH, the Central Election Commission of BiH considers these pieces of information significant for voters, participants in the election process, and the election process itself, and publishes them through public electronic media.
