Ivanić in Brussels: BiH needs support on the path to the EU

Member of the BiH Presidency Mladen Ivanić participated in Brussels in the Fifth Conference of the European People's Party Group on the Western Balkans – “Western Balkans: Towards a European future”, reports the Patria News Agency.

Ivanić informed the conference participants about the situation in BiH, which has recognized the European Union as its main goal and has accordingly submitted an application for membership.

Ivanić reminded that BiH faces the implementation of necessary reforms and announced the possibility of a positive scenario regarding the adaptation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, the coordination mechanism, and the population census. He also expressed concern about the lack of agreement on Mostar.

He welcomed the exceptionally positive role of the European People's Party Group in the Western Balkans, and also emphasized the exceptionally important political role of the BiH Presidency. He also said that BiH needs support for further activities and expressed hope that the European People's Party Group will continue to support BiH on its European path, it was announced from the BiH Presidency.
