Ivanić: It is impossible for a bank or two to fail without anyone being held accountable

Member of the Presidency of BiH Mladen Ivanić believes that frequent SIPA actions regarding banks in RS do not represent a blow to the banking system, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

- This cannot be a blow to the banking system in any way. It is impossible for a bank or two to fail in Republika Srpska without anyone being held accountable - Ivanić told reporters today in Bijeljina.

Ivanić says that he is personally encouraged by the fact that there are "different tones" coming from the ruling structures than those given by the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.

Ivanić stated that the Director of the RS Police, Gojko Vasić, also said that the SIPA operation was carried out in cooperation with the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs.
