DEADLINE APPROACHES: Additional 5,800,000 KM secured for support of small businesses in KS

(Patria) - The deadlines for applying to public calls for small businesses in Sarajevo Canton expire tomorrow, September 19, if applications are submitted by mail, the Ministry of Economy of KS reminds.

These are four public calls announced by the Ministry of Economy of KS to help small businesses in the situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic, and which are part of the medium-term measures being implemented by this ministry for that purpose.

A public call has been issued for the selection of beneficiaries of incentive funds under the program "Incentive for the Development of Small Businesses" in KS for 2020, a public call for collecting applications from craftsmen based on the program "Education of Youth for Craft Professions and Employment", a public call for selecting a bank for the placement of a credit line with subsidization of part of the interest costs by the Ministry of Economy for small businesses operating in the KS area for this year, and a public call for submitting applications for the program "Support for Youth in Starting Start-up Businesses".

The programs from which these public calls originate offer the provision of credit under more favorable conditions, subsidization – refunding of interest on taken loans, incentives for technological modernization and application of quality standards, incentives for the development of entrepreneurship of craftsmen, education of youth for craft professions and employment, incentives for start-up small businesses, incentives for the development of female entrepreneurship, and support for youth in starting start-up business entities.

Approximately 5,800,000 KM is planned for the implementation of these programs, according to the Ministry of Economy of KS.

According to the announcements of the relevant minister, Draško Jeličić, the implementation of the remaining funds is planned in the next period as direct incentives for preserving jobs in business entities that have suffered the greatest damage in this pandemic.
