(Patria) - The Islamic Community (IC) in Bosnia and Herzegovina strongly condemns the vandal act of devastating the Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity in Mostar.
"It is unacceptable for religious and sacred objects to be attacked and desecrated, and for the perpetrators not to be found and most severely punished. Religious sanctuaries, as well as religious symbols in Bosnia and Herzegovina, are a value and treasure for every citizen and all peoples of our country, regardless of which religious community they belong to.
Therefore, we demand that the competent authorities take appropriate measures to find and appropriately punish the perpetrators of this barbaric act, and to further protect religious buildings and prevent the recurrence of such vandalism," reads the statement from the IC Public Relations Office.
