Islamic Community condemns terrorist attack in New Zealand

(Patria) - The Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina condemns this morning's terrorist attack on the Al Noor mosque and expresses condolences to the families of the victims, the government, and the citizens of New Zealand.

- It is particularly disturbing for the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina that the attacker embarked on his bloody rampage with songs glorifying war criminals from the period of aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that he was clearly inspired by the same extremist ideology and hatred we are witnessing these days in parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Therefore, the Islamic Community once again calls on all state institutions to confront this ideology and not to underestimate its danger, and to focus on these groups and their ideologies in the programs for preventing violent extremism and deradicalization, which are numerous in our country.

Confident that the perpetrators and accomplices will be adequately prosecuted, we once again send prayers for the innocently murdered victims of the evil ideology of hatred, it was announced today from the Islamic Community.
