Išerić: Why are the HJPC, Prosecutor's Office, and Council of Ministers not reacting to the persecution of Bosniaks in Neum and Prijedor, are they waiting for citizens to resolve this?

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Legal expert Enver Išerić commented tonight on social networks, after Patria published news that interrogations of witnesses in the case of the chief imam of the Islamic Community of Kozarac, Amir ef. Mahić, have begun in the Prijedor police.

Let us recall, according to still unconfirmed information, two Bosniaks from Kozarac responded to the calls of the Prijedor police to give statements after the police identified them in a video recording that appeared on social networks, which recorded the sermon of imam Mahić on January 27 this year.

"Are these behaviors of the authorities in the entity of RS, as well as the behavior of local authorities in the municipality of Neum, a sufficient reason to schedule a session of the Human Rights Commission, and then an extraordinary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina at which a serious discussion about these events should be held.

Certainly, the heads of the HJPC and the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina should also be included. Or is this violation of the fundamental human rights of Bosniaks, in areas where Serbs and Croats are the majority and hold power, a normal occurrence and the usual state of affairs.

Is there anyone in the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples who demands a serious discussion on this issue. Or are they waiting for citizens to resolve this?" Išerić wrote.
