IRGC tells Trump Strait of Hormuz will remain closed

(Patria) - The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed to the "enemies of this nation". Iranian state television announced that the Corps' naval forces have "firm and dominant" control over this strategically important sea passage.

This threat followed shortly after US President Donald Trump announced on the social network Truth Social that Iran had requested a ceasefire.

Trump also set a clear condition for considering the alleged Iranian request.

"We will consider it when the Strait of Hormuz is open, free, and clean. Until then, we will blow Iran into oblivion or, as they say, back to the Stone Age!!!", Trump wrote.

Iran has not yet officially commented on Trump's claim that Tehran requested a ceasefire.
