Iran's Security Chief to Muslim Countries: Pause for a Moment and Think About Yourselves and the Future of the Region

(Patria) - Iran's top security official Ali Larijani has called on Muslim-majority countries to reconsider their stance toward Iran amid the war with the US and Israel.

In a letter written in Arabic, Larijani - secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council - urged leaders of other states to "think about the future of the Islamic world," as reported by Index.

"Today, the conflict is between the US and Israel on one side, and the forces of resistance on the other. You know that the US is loyal to no one and that Israel is your enemy.

Pause for a moment and think about yourselves and the future of the region. Iran is giving you sincere advice and does not wish to dominate you," Larijani wrote.

He also notes that Iran is subjected to what he called "American-Zionist aggression," which he claims aims to break the Iranian state. He criticized the "limited support from Muslim countries for Iran during the crisis."

Despite the attacks, Larijani claims that the Iranian people have shown, as he put it, strong national and Islamic resistance.

Larijani's letter comes at a time when several Muslim states, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain, have condemned Iranian attacks on their territory since the conflict began more than two weeks ago.

Iran has repeatedly stated that it will continue to attack locations it claims are linked to US military bases in the region.
