(Patria) - The second round of talks between Tehran and Washington will be held in Oman on April 19, announced Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, TASS reported.
The two sides have agreed "to hold a second round of talks next Saturday. Everything will take place at the same level and again in Oman, although (the venue for talks) may be slightly different," Aragchi told Iranian state media.
According to the Iranian high-ranking diplomat, the two negotiating teams could start talks on the "general framework of a future agreement" next week.
On Saturday, Oman hosted indirect talks between Iranian and American negotiators on resolving the situation surrounding Iran's nuclear program.
The Iranian delegation was led by Araghchi, while special envoy Steve Witkoff represented the United States.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic announced that the meeting proceeded in a constructive atmosphere.
