Iranian Foreign Minister: Tehran will not give up its nuclear rights

(Patria) - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Saturday that if the United States' goal is to deprive Tehran of what he called its nuclear rights, Tehran will not give up "any of our rights".

Araghchi spoke in Doha the day before another round of planned nuclear negotiations between Iran and the USA in Oman.

Iran has agreed to hold a fourth round of indirect nuclear talks with the United States on Sunday in Oman, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Friday, citing a member of the Iranian team.

A source familiar with the negotiations told Al Arabiya English that they expect US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff to travel to Oman on Sunday for the fourth round.

"As in the past, we expect both direct and indirect talks," the source said.

The last round of talks, originally scheduled for May 3 in Rome, was postponed, with mediator Oman citing "logistical reasons".
