(Patria) - Spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Effie Defrin provided updated information this evening, stating that Israeli fighter jets continue to carry out "extensive attacks on various parts of Iran, even at this moment".
- The series of attacks, lasting almost 40 hours continuously, encompasses over 150 targets. In the last 24 hours, the focus of the attacks has been Tehran, Defrin said in a televised address.
He added that the IDF targeted an underground complex in western Iran "that was used for storing and launching ballistic and cruise missiles".
- That facility has been attacked, and senior officials who visited it have also been eliminated, Defrin stated.
He emphasizes that the missiles stored at that location were intended to be launched "against Israeli citizens or even against forces of other Western countries in the Middle East".
The Iranian Ministry of Oil announced that two major gas fields in the southern Bushehr province were attacked by Israeli strikes.
According to Iranian media, citing eyewitnesses, the attack on the South Pars gas field was carried out using miniature drones. In the same province, the Fajr Jam Gas Refining Company plant was also hit.

This is the first time Israeli attacks on Iranian gas facilities have been reported.
Ali Shamkhani, the senior advisor to Iranian Ayatollah Khamenei, died in the hospital a day after Israel launched airstrikes across the country, Iranian media reported.
Shamkhani served as Iran's top national security official for the past decade and represented Iran in rapprochement talks with Saudi Arabia mediated by China.
Iranian state television announced that a strong and devastating attack on Israel is expected in a very short time, as retaliation.
Although there is no official confirmation from military sources yet, the tone of the reporting indicates a serious escalation in relations between the two countries.
According to Iranian sources, the response could be "heavy and destructive," and is expected in the coming hours.
This is a potential replay of past conflicts, but with more serious consequences – causing concern in the international community.
