Iranian Revolutionary Guard: Response will be strong and merciless

(Patria) - The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has threatened the US over attacks on nuclear targets, stating that the American side will deeply regret it and that Tehran's response will be strong and merciless.

"Today's act of aggression by the terrorist American regime has given the Islamic Republic of Iran the legitimate right to self-defense, including options that go beyond the illusory calculations of the aggressor coalition," the Revolutionary Guard said in a statement published by the state agency Tasnim.

"The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is well aware of the reality of this comprehensive hybrid war and will never be intimidated by the noise of Trump or the criminal gangs ruling Washington and Tel Aviv," the statement added.

Recall, in the early morning hours, the United States carried out an attack on three Iranian nuclear facilities – Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. This is the most powerful attack on Iran's nuclear program to date.

Six B-2 Spirit stealth bombers dropped a total of 12 GBU-57 bunker-buster bombs on the ultra-fortified underground Fordow complex, while US submarines fired 30 cruise missiles at facilities in Natanz and Isfahan.

The attack was described as the result of years of planning, with the goal of destroying key Iranian uranium enrichment capabilities.
