Iran: We are ready for the arrival of American troops, we will burn them

(Patria) - The head of the Iranian parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, says that Iranian forces are ready for the arrival of American troops.

In a statement carried by the IRNA news agency, Ghalibaf criticized US President Donald Trump for expressing readiness for negotiations with Iran, while at the same time "secretly planning a ground attack".

American media reported earlier today that the Pentagon is preparing weekly ground operations in Iran.

The report was published after the US military confirmed the arrival of 3,500 soldiers from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in the Middle East.
