(Patria) - Iran's Revolutionary Guard announced today that it has launched another wave of attacks on US bases in the region, state media reported. It added that a "different" type of missile was launched in the process, but no further details were provided.
The Revolutionary Guard also announced earlier today that a wave of missile and drone attacks on Beersheba in Israel is underway.
The Qatari Air Force shot down two Iranian military aircraft today after Iran previously targeted gas facilities in that Gulf state.
"The Qatari Air Force successfully shot down two Su-24 aircraft coming from the Islamic Republic of Iran. It also successfully intercepted seven ballistic missiles and five drones that targeted several areas in the country today," the ministry's statement said.
US bases are present in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. Iran targeted these bases, and four soldiers were killed in Kuwait, while three US planes were mistakenly shot down.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragachi told CNN today that they are only responding to attacks coming from these bases.
