Iran raises red flag over mosque, Khamenei announces revenge on Israel

(Patria) - Iran has raised the red flag of revenge over the dome of the Jamkaran mosque following the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

(Patria) - Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was killed in Tehran, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced. According to Daily Sabah, his bodyguard was also killed.

The red flag symbolizes the blood of martyrs and calls for justice and retribution.

"It is our duty to take revenge," said Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, earlier today.

The flag last appeared before Iran's missile and drone attack on Israel in April this year, writes Kashmir Observer.
